Patty Tellas Jerving is the mother of fallen Milwaukee, Wisconsin Police Officer Peter Jerving. Her son lost his life pursuing a robbery/carjacking suspect in the early morning hours of February 7, 2023. This book is her emotional journey from that day onward. Peter was the fifth Milwaukee police officer to die in the line of duty over five years. The whole city was grieving, and Patty visited all seven police districts to encourage and uplift the spirits of her son's fellow officers. Her son loved his job as a police officer, and the city of Milwaukee returned their love for him by bestowing many honors, awards, trophies, donations, cards, letters, and flowers to his mourning family.Patty hopes this book will be a testimony, not only for her son, whose bravery defended other officers and innocent bystanders but for other police departments.
